Eroica Tango Marathon

The Eroica Tango Marathon, a vibrant celebration of Argentine tango, was founded in Turin, Italy, by the dedicated team of ASD La Bicicleta and Fortino. The inaugural event took place in 2018, marking the beginning of a series that would quickly gain popularity among tango enthusiasts. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Dora River, the marathon was designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for dancers of all levels, providing a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the art of tango over an extended weekend of non-stop dancing.

Over the years, the Eroica Tango Marathon has evolved significantly, expanding from its initial edition to become a prominent fixture in the international tango calendar. The event has seen various venue enhancements, particularly at the Fortino, which boasts a spacious 750 square meters of dance floor. The format has also adapted, with the introduction of pre-parties and after-parties, allowing participants to socialize and connect beyond the dance floor. Each edition has attracted a growing number of dancers, with the latest events hosting up to 400 participants from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a balanced representation of genders and nationalities.

Notable editions of the marathon include the 5th edition in 2023, which featured an impressive lineup of six milongas and a generous buffet, further enhancing the experience for attendees. The event has consistently showcased talented DJs from around the world, such as Ilias Selalmazidis and Max Romano, who curate the musical atmosphere to keep the energy high throughout the marathon. The 10th edition, scheduled for March 2026, promises to introduce a competitive element, offering prizes for participants who engage actively during the event.
