History
The PequeñA – Festivalito, also known as Dos Corazones, was founded in 2023 in Saarbrücken, Germany, by the dynamic duo of Melina Sedó and Detlef Engel. This festivalito emerged from a desire to create an inclusive space for Argentine Tango dancers, where participants could freely explore both leading and following roles in a close-embrace setting. The event was designed to foster a relaxed atmosphere, encouraging dancers to connect deeply with one another while enjoying traditional tango music and the civilised ronda that characterizes encuentros milongueros. The inaugural edition attracted around 100 dancers, marking a significant step in promoting role parity within the tango community.
As the festivalito evolved, it quickly gained recognition for its unique approach to tango dancing. The venue, Acting and Arts, became a hub for tango enthusiasts, hosting workshops and milongas that emphasized the importance of role change and inclusivity. The event's format included a variety of workshops led by experienced teachers, such as Eric Jörissen, alongside engaging milongas featuring talented DJs like Patrycja Kaminska and Tara Thurau.
